Never Been So Hot!! - 8 Sept 2015

Hello my wonderful family!

So I really have no idea what is going on with Daniel so if someone could explain that would be great :)

This week was a little crazy. Hot. Very hot. Oh i have never been so hot and sunburned and tired in my life. But this work is great.
Really I don´t know what to talk about because this week was a normal week for the most part. I had an emergency interview with Presidente about my companions because they were having difficutlies, but all is well and it was great. He calls me ´´sister Jacobson, minha filha´´ all the time. I love it. I have really come to love my Presidente and his wife. They are like my second parents here. Also I just want to thank Andrew who gave me the advice at the beginning to write to Presidente first and to tell him everything so that he can trust me, because I really felt like that advice has blessed my mission already. So thank you.
So yesterday was the worst pday of my life. We were asked to participate in the independence parade. Which consisted of us waiting in the sun for 4 hours after traveling an hour and a half to get to this place to walk down a street and then get home at 7 to plan and go to bed. Oh it was terrible. But já passou.
Also funny story.....on Sunday my bishop wanted me to play the Brazil national anthem on the piano. Please look this song up on youtube and you will understand how i reacted. He gave me the music 3 minutes before sacrament meeting. I tried to practice it a little with everyone singing in my ear how it is supossed to sound, because mind you  I HAVE NEVER SUNG THIS SONG IN MY LIFE. Oh I just burst into tears hahahaa. But, luckily there is this member here that calls me her daughter and she literally picked me up and carried me out of the room and just hugged me and hugged me and told me that i need to learn to say no if i don´t want to do something. Which is something i know i need to learn. But oh my goodness, what a disaster.
I am reading the book ´´The power of member missionaries´´ (in portuguese) and wow I am loving it. I highly recommend it to everyone!!
I love you all and pray for you every day. This is the best experience of my life and I am so grateful to be here in this time with the presidente i have, with the companions i have. I am so blessed!!

love Sister Jacobson

So Daniel got put into the hospital in Provo because of a complication of crohn's.  He was released on Sunday.  He is doing better.  He has an appointment in SLC on Thursday with the church's physician for crohn's disease.  After that we will know better about his future.  I believe that he will start some medication, go to the Provo MTC rather than Madrid so they can be sure the medication is working and then allow him to go to Barcelona.  So Mom and Daniel are still in UT and will be for another week or maybe more.

Love you,

Dad
