Last Week in the Provo MTC - 24 Feb 2015

I AM GOING TO BRAZIL IN LESS THAN A WEEK! WHAATT!!?? I can't believe how fast my time here at the MTC has gone! I have grown so close to the missionaries in my district and some in my zone and it will be very hard to leave them! I am the only one in our district so far that has their visa, so on Thursday everyone else will be getting reassignments. I am a little nervous to be flying by myself to Brazil, but I am sure everything will be taken care of. I will be able to call so plan on sometime between 9-11 am my time and then maybe again at like 5 your time. I fly from SLC to Atlanta and then to Sao Paulo and then to Joao Pessoa! It's crazy that I am actually going to brazil!
So this week was probably the hardest week for me. We have just been cramming alot of stuff in these last two weeks so it is crazy. The language is getting better, but there are so many different grammatical rules that it makes my head spin so this week I just had a little break down because I was super stressed, but all is well.
Mom, you will be so proud of me! The other night I was testing myself for oils and my sisters asked what I was doing so I explained oils and trapped emotions and they all asked me to test them and it was awesome!!! They were so impressed and felt like I had read their minds haha. It was cool. The next day a sister in my district asked her mom to send her oils! It was awesome!
So this week Sister Andersen and I had four different investigators and it was crazy. We were really concerned with Adrianna because she hadn't kept any commintments and really didn't show any desire to come closer to Christ. So all weekend we were praying for guidance in what to teach her next. So we decided to read 3 Nephi 11:1-17 with her out loud and discuss it and it was the greatest experience! The spirit was so strong. Also it helped that we decided to start with a song so me and my comp sang "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" as a duet in Portuguese. I LOVE SINGING IN PORTUGUESE! It was the best lesson. After we read, we read Moroni's promise and asked if she had a desire to know if the Book was true. She said before the lesson, no, but now, yes! So we each took a turn praying to ask God if the Book of Mormon was true. It was amazing. She committed to coming to church, to reading the Book of Mormon with her husband, and consider being baptized! Oh it was great! I love being a missionary!
This week we also taught a lesson over skype to Brazilaros :) It was cool! I actually really understood our member Fabio really well and taught most of the lesson! It was a great confidence booster!
We also got to host the new missionaries coming in to the MTC. It was fun and a little sad because so many families and missionaries just were sobbing and we took the missionary away. But, it was cool to be able to say that everything will be fine and really know that that is true.
We had a cool devotional about recognizing the voices of Satan, the natural man, and the Spirit.Today is our last Tuesday devotional and we haven't had a single apostle come speak to us so we are praying today is the day!!! The week before I got to the MTC Elders Ballard and Nelson spoke!! And I missed it by 12 hours!! So hopefully today we will have a general authority.
I got released as Sister Training Leader :( Part of me was sad because I love these sisters so much, but the other park of me was happy because no more meetings :D My Zone is amazing, but we have had a lot of health problems going on this week that took alot of my attention. Two sisters ended up in the hospital at one point. Oh man stressful, but they are okay now.
So gym time has become by far the best time of the day. My district plays Four-square all day everyday! We are so competitive!! It is so much fun!! We kill everyone on the court! hahahaha
Well, I think that basically sums up my week. I am sad to be leaving the MTC and the sisters here and my teachers, but I am so excited that I am headed to Brazil!!!
Thank you for the emails!
Love you all!
