Transfers - 29 June 2015

Hello my wondeful family!!

I hope that the move went smoothly and that you are READY FOR PAGEANT!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!! I am listening to the soundtrack all day everyday for the next three weeks just so I can feel the pageant spirit too! 

So this week was great. I did divisions with my companion from the CTM Sister Andersen and it was so fun!! We don´t speak alot of Portuguese, but it was fun to see us actually able to teach and stop people on the street. We have progressed so much since our time together in the CTM. Wow, time flies.

Transfers calls came in last night and wow. I had no idea how much turmoil transfers cause for missionaries. Every transfer is it´s like leaving your family all over again. Each ward and companion because your family and when you have to leave, there are always tears. But.....I will be staying in Ipês so no tears there. I will be companions with the STL again, but Sister de Lima. I really like her. I don´t know her super super well, but I am excited. She will also be training a brand new missionary so we will be in a trio. I have only heard bad things about a trio, but I am determined to make this different. Also our area doubled in size, which I am happy about too, because I have new territory to work with, but the same familiar faces at the same time. It will be an exciting transfer. Also fun fact about Sister de Lima. She is from this ward, but moved to Sao Paulo and sent her papers in there. And got called back to her home. So it would be like me serving my mission in the Dayton, Ohio mission! She is really excited to serve in her own ward! 

I feel like I have learned so much this week, but at the same time I don´t know where to start or how to put it into words. Basically, I know that God is always aware of us, no matter where we are in the world. He cares and hears all of our secret prayers. I am so grateful for Him!

Almost Forgot - 16 May 2016

Wow I almost logged off without sending anything. Sorry! This week has been good. A little frustrating. I feel like I relate really well to the stories Daniel tells about running to church late with no investigators. There isn´t anything more frustrating. But I know that the lord is testing everything that i have learning the the past few months to see if i can apply everything that i have learned. and it is hard, but i know it will all be worth it.  i love you all hugs!! sister jacobson

Sick Days - 30 May 2016

Well apparently I can´t leave Brasil without a few more sick days. hahaha So this week was great and rough.  I started to feel really sick Tuesday night but nope we have to keep working. Of course it started raining so my cold got a little worse. But Wednesday I was pratically sleeping during all the lessons and just not feeling well. Thursday morning we had surprise interviews with Presidente and he just said, ´´is there anything i can do for you other then send you to the hospital?´´ So he sent me to the hospital. The hospital is always a great experience because i really don´t understand medical terms in English so in Portuguese its just funny. But my companion helped me alot. I ended up getting an MRI to look at my sinuses and my lungs and the conclusion of the story is that i had a really bad sinus infection.  I was given a bunch of medicine and set to bed rest.
