Week of Miracles - 2 Nov 2015
This week was crazy. Every week is crazy. hahaa But this week I had another Mission Council which was really good. I learn so much every time. I always leave with more determination to work and find all the people that are waiting in darkness.
We had an amazing experience with a young man that we found. His name is Italon and I think he will forever be one of my favorite people. He is 19 and just was so insecure about his life. He had already been visiting the church and reading the Book of Mormon for years but still felt unsure about baptism. Well this week we visited him and read so many scriptures with him and encouraged him to pray to know what to do. Well one of these days he said he knew what he needed to do he just lacked the confidence to do it. Well he had a burst of courage and talked with the Elders about baptism and after that he was just so excited. He got to church on Sunday and just said I want to be baptized today. WHAT?! Okay! So me and my companion spent all of Sunday school cleaning the font and filling it up with water and preparing a program for his baptism so that it would be really special. And he was baptized. He was so happy and I just cried and cried sharing my testimony with him. I know that God has great plans for him. Great. Plans.
Literally it still amazes me that everyday I am continueing to learn how little affect I have on these people and how much greater is the affect of God and the Spirit.
In the MTC, our professors were our investigators. One of my ´´investigators´´ was a young man with a really hard life and he was so so so depressed and sad. Now we have an investigator like him here and I am so glad that I feel more prepared to help this young man out of the hole of darkness he is in and come into the light of the Son. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to be the hands that are reaching down to help him up.
I know that this Gospel is true. I know that this is the only way for true happiness and joy. I am so grateful for this gospel in my life, for my Savior that rescues me everyday. He is the reason I am here and I can´t thank him enough.
I love you all! Have a wonderful week!!

Pics - No she is not my companion, but she is a returned missionary that lives in this area. She works with us everyday and I just love her. Her name is Rayssa. I know that the Lord has put these people in my life for a reason and I know that my relationship with them did not start here, but long before this life. It is so fun for me to find my long-lost brothers and sisters
